How was India?

Everyone asks, "How was India?!". It was life changing.... I don't know how else to explain it.

I'll be sharing more in the near future, but for now let me sum the trip up for you like this....
  • Missed my family very much
  • Wonderful flight over (except for the complete lack of sleep)
  • Loved the people of India
  • Not so much a fan of cities
  • Really not a fan of Indian food, at all
  • Thankful that India is close enough to China that most restaurants offered Chinese food...yum!
  • Loved the women and girls at the Vocational Center
  • Walked through the Red Light District in Calcutta... wow! I can't even put into words what it was like walking through here.
  • Met children in the overnight centers for the children of prostitutes. Danced with the kids and stepped on a 4-year old's poor toes. Oops.
  • Went to the girl's home; a place for the daughters of prostitutes to entrust their girls to be raised and saved from a life of prostitution.
  • Had the girls at the home perform 2 dances for us. I cried and cried....
  • Would have come home with a little girl...if they hadn't of check my pockets first! :-)
  • Visited the Mother Theresa House in Calcutta and learned more about her early life.
  • So-so flight home with a very hairy landing. Praise God for allowing our plane to land in one piece. We came home in the middle of that Large snow storm on March 2nd and landed at JFK (one of the only planes to land that day).
  • Can't wait to go back!

Well, that's all I have time for right now. I promise to add more later. I even have photos to post!
